Disclosure Policy
Whenever a post is sponsored by a brand, I make it clear by marking it as “AD” in the title. An “AD” indicates two things: first, that the brand has compensated me for my time, effort, and the content I create; and second, that the brand has provided specific key messages they want me to share with my audience. I only agree to work on an “AD” if I believe the messaging is both truthful and relevant to you, my readers and viewers. I take this approach because I believe it’s the most transparent way to let you know upfront if a brand has had any involvement in the content.
A Note on Press Samples and Gifts
Press samples, now often referred to as “gifts,” are vital to my work. I review hundreds of beauty products to ensure that I can provide you with the best recommendations. Receiving these samples doesn’t influence my opinions or the way I write about them. Instead, it allows me to have a comprehensive view of what’s available on the market—something I wouldn’t be able to achieve otherwise. I believe that this process ultimately benefits you, as it enables me to share informed and honest reviews.
Most beauty samples I receive are unsolicited. Brands send them in the hope that I might try the product, genuinely love it, and feature it organically in my content. However, I rarely consider these press samples as “gifts” in the traditional sense because testing and reviewing beauty products is a significant part of my job. Being able to try products before they launch, comparing different versions, and evaluating similar products from various brands are all part of the ongoing work that leads to the posts you read here. I only feature a small portion of the products I test, and I hope that my honest opinions are something you find valuable.
Understanding Affiliate Links
Affiliate links are another aspect of how my blog operates. These are links that provide me with a small commission—sometimes negligible—if you make a purchase after clicking on them. This commission does not influence the content I create or the way I write my reviews. The integrity of my recommendations remains my top priority, and I always strive to present content that is genuine and helpful.
Transparency and Your Trust
I understand that transparency is crucial, and I want you to feel confident in the content you read here. My goal is always to provide you with honest, insightful information, whether a post is an “AD,” includes press samples, or contains affiliate links. I believe that being upfront about these aspects is the best way to maintain your trust and ensure that my content remains both authentic and valuable.
If you ever have any questions or concerns about how I disclose brand involvement, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me through the contact page. I’m always happy to answer your questions and consider your suggestions. Your trust means the world to me, and I’m committed to being as transparent as possible in all my content.
